The redevelopment of University Hall (formerly known as Currie Hall) at the University of Western Australia, delivered brand new self-contained accommodation for more than 500 students.
The new structures consist of 129 apartments over six levels. The two undergraduate buildings have 100 apartments over four levels and 285 apartments over five levels, respectively. The ground floors house common student-amenity spaces such as media rooms, games rooms and multi-purpose rooms with basement car parking below each block.
In an effort to increase the speed of construction and provide minimal disruption to students, Probuild introduced theefficiencies of both precast walling and the Austral Deck precast flooring system.
Probuild’s collaboration with the University to create high quality student accommodation reinforces the University’s core values while enhancing and encouraging a vibrant collegiate student community.
