Probuild to construct $500+ million development The Towers & Ritz Carlton at Elizabeth Quay

May 2016

Perth’s new luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Elizabeth Quay will be built by Probuild following a rigorous selection process by international property developer Far East Consortium.

National tier-one construction company Probuild has been appointed to construct the $500m+ development ‘The Towers and Ritz Carlton at Elizabeth Quay' which will feature the world’s top luxury hotel brand as the centrepiece as well as a separate apartment tower.

Probuild Group Managing Director Simon Gray said design work would begin immediately on The Towers, an outstanding quality project that would create many new jobs and reconnect the CBD to the Swan River.

“We’re thrilled to be working on this iconic Perth development with our client, Far East Consortium, who have selected Probuild because we create a better way of doing things,” Mr Gray said.

“The Towers was one of Western Australia’s most sought after construction jobs and Probuild was chosen because we have the resources and the capacity to deliver on major projects with excellent commercial outcomes.”

The exciting new development has been described as the jewel in the crown of the reinvigorated Elizabeth Quay waterfront precinct, which when complete will reconnect Perth’s CBD with the Swan River through a lively mix of new hotel, residential, commercial and retail accommodation and quality public spaces.

Sam Delmenico, Probuild’s Western Australia Managing Director said he was proud of his team, which had worked long hours and met every deadline to develop the winning tender.

“We’re a true design and construct builder so we’ve worked very closely with our client through a lengthy bidding process to ensure we could demonstrate quality project outcomes,” Mr Delmenico said.

“Their decision to award this remarkable project to Probuild shows they have confidence we can successfully bring their waterfront vision to life.”

Following design works Probuild expects to begin site works in late June 2016, with work expected to be completed in 2019. As one of Australia’s largest and most successful construction companies, this important project adds to Probuild’s growing portfolio of major projects in WA, and as the company celebrates 10 years of operation in the state.
