Probuild has delivered Separable Portion 2 of its Bouverie Street project in Melbourne.
Located at the former Carlton and United Breweries site in Carlton and comprising the second stage of the Swanston Square development, the Bouverie Street Apartments project consists of three Separable Portions.
The Separable Portions are assisting the client with staged occupation of not only the Bouverie Street Apartments project, but also the ultimate occupation of the adjoining Swanston Square project.
As the main vehicle access into Swanston Square is through the Bouverie Street Apartments project, Separable Portion 2 was not only critical for the project programme but also to achieve the Occupancy Permit of Swanston Square.
This 21-story apartment building will comprise 225 apartments, four retail tenancies and a rooftop private garden and BBQ facilities.
As part of the works, the Ale Store's historical bluestone façade on Bouverie Street will be retained and refurbished.
Other features will include a rooftop garden area offering residents a private and exclusive urban park with shaded areas, cascading water feature, BBQ facilities, an outdoor cinema and pavilion function space.
Building works will also encompass a Wintergarden which will connect the Swanston Square and Bouviere Street Projects. The Wintergarden will incorporate a honeycomb like design complete with patterned glazing and soft landscaping.
