All but two levels of the existing building remain as structural works at Omnia rapidly progress. Currently at level 13, the new tower will surpass the existing concrete structure at level 15 within the next fortnight.
Fitout is progressing well with hebel walls and frames being installed, and rough-in having commenced during the week. The façade installation process has also begun with placement of the structural gutters which will hold the two-storey aluminium frames housing the glass balustrades. These are immediately followed by the balcony windows which are a combination of Juliet and fully recessed balconies.
Omnia's unique design introduces a dramatic architectural feature whereby each slab decreases by 180mm in length per floor over 10 levels and then increases again to create the tower's distinctive hour-glass shape.
