A proud moment for Probuild Queensland as its first crane is erected in Brisbane
Probuild’s presence is gaining momentum in Queensland with the installation of its first tower crane on the Iglu Student Accommodation project. Iglu is located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, providing great exposure for the newly established Queensland operation.
The free standing, 40 metre Favelle Favco tower crane was carefully erected over a 12 hour period with the use of a 220 tonne mobile crane with fly positioned in the middle of Mary Street. This required extensive planning and consultation with local authorities to ensure optimal safety conditions and appropriate traffic management, minimising disruption to road users.
Standing at a height of 40 metres, the crane is illuminated with neon signs fixed to the sides of the machine deck displaying the Probuild brand, and will remain at the Mary Street site until September 2015.
